 ----------------------------------------------------

Oh my, I quit doing this originally because of the bickering
on the list and in #litestep and I can't believe the same issues are
resurfacing again! GUI interface! No GUI interface! YES! NO! YES!
AAAHHHHHHHHHH! Work this out would you!! All the dev's need to get
together and just decide on one direction and run with it. Usually
I'm all for taking into consideration the end user, but this battle
is getting far too old for me. I'm sure the dev's know each side of
fight and hopefully they have taken that into consideration. I know
that Maduin knows as he was part of the old dev team before the mess
started. To the end users now, give the devs a chance. Each major
release (read b23 to b24 not sub releases like b24.4 to b24.5) had
incorporated alot of changes. From 23 to 24 all delphi was ripped out
and alot of new ideas were added and LiteStep is still around. Lets
just see what will happen.

"lsAmp v2 beta 1 is now up for public release...
as it is in a very early beta-stage, I can't guarantee that
	everything will be working correctly.

	major improvements over version 1:

	* it's capable of launching external commands and !bangs apart
from the built in winamp ones
	* the wharf is no longer required (don't know if wharf-mode
works though, because I've never tried it)
	* entirely configured through step.rc
	* properly documented ( think a lot of people will be glad
	  about this one )

 Tips
 ----

- I got this tip from kali on the DarkStep web board a while back.
Seems kali uses a .bat file to update core components. Doing a
multiple command shortcut, hotkey, or popup item can accomplish this in
one click or key stroke. First you need a command line zip/unzip util.
Then you need to make up the .bat file to unzip all the file to your
litestep dir and overwrite all. Finally have the .bat file restart
litestep. A popup line might be something like:

*Popup "Update LiteStep" !quit !execute update.bat.

I could probably write up a .bat file for this with a mildly decent
interface, if anyone would be interested in this, shoot me an e-mail
  about it.

Ok here is the first dev build I could find. At this time in
LS development, only Fahim was an active coder. Alot of
popup work was being done and some cleanup to the older code.
