 ----------------------------------------------------

I have noticed a trend that was started ohhh about 2 months
ago starting to make a come back... revamping old mods. This was
started by Visigoth and jugg with the revamping of lscommand and
tasks.dll respectively. Now its reworking of re5ource's popups and
Killarny's sysvwm. This is what gpl is all about folks. Take some
open source and run with it. Make it better, bigger, faster! Look
at lsxcommand, its the swiss army knife of modules. Without the
source release by limpid and the reworking by Visigoth, this module
would never exist. Lets keep this trend going people! If your a
module coder, release your code. If your a programmer and you don't
have any new ideas, consider picking up an older module with source
and reworking it. This is what makes LiteStep LiteStep!

- IE/Outlook spinning logo replacement (3:19am 26.09)

I know this isn't really "top news" but 1) its neat as
hell, and 2) it doesn't fit anywhere else. Thor has thrown
together a nice set of bmps and .reg files to replace the
boring old spinning globe to a spinning LS Scorpion. Although
it spins extremely fast, it's still a nice little hack.

- LiteStep on ZDTV ScreenSavers again (3:37pm 29.09)

"Looks like Litestep has made it into the press again!
According to [rootrider], ZDNet's ScreenSaver's show has
posted another article in their Answers & Tips section about
the shell in response to a user query. They've even included
a RealVideo movie of them discussing the shell (reportedly
it's of jugg's 24.5 distribution with his default theme. I'll
have to take their word for it, as I haven't been able to get
the damn thing to progress beyond 'Opening...'<g>). Detail
accuracy is as usual a little off and they've made the mistake
of providing Litestep.net and skinz.org as the primary
locations for information & themes (skinz.org is fine, but
Litestep.net only carries last spring's 24.4 release), but
what the heck, any press is good press.:) If you feel like
providing some feedback, the address is feedback@zdtv.com."

- ZiffDavis in France (2:52pm 30.09)

Looks like ZD is promoting LiteStep everywhere these days,

"Seen in PCexpert, a french monthly newspaper from Ziff Davis

	New in this release:

	- Caching code is now optional.
Put 'PopupUseCache' in your step.rc if it works for you
  	  (I'll fix it later)

	- Icons can be specified, format:
 	  *popup .icon="C:\windows\explorer.exe" "Start Menu" 17
 	  default.bmp "!PopupFolder:C:\WINDOWS\Start Menu"
remember to put the .icon= as the FIRST entry after *popup

"This version has a bunch of new features including a
favorites menu and storing the different kinds of weather
conditions and corresponding bmps in the modules.ini as
opposed to being hardcoded into the module. I didn't get
quite as much testing out of this release that I wanted, but

- BPSysvwm 990930 ~ Keith001 (8:45am 30.09)

"Some time ago, I asked on this list if it was possible to
scroll inside the virtual screen of the vwmn, instead of just
shifting desktops. Since a window could already span several
desktops, I figured it wouldn't be that hard to tweak the
	existing module to add that.

"In the good old tradition of open source software, I made the
changes I wanted and now make the result available.

"I also made a little change to always set VWMNoMove to TRUE
when docked: this avoids crashing ls when moving the window
inside the 64x64 area in the wharf, and then clicking where
	it was."

	%%UPDATE%% (7:55pm 30.09)

"You asked for it... new version with an extra option called
VWMAutoSwitchNoFollow (not very descriptive name... any better

- Recycler 3.0.3 ~ Joachim Calvert (8:20pm 30.09)

	* Fixed the legacy routine so that the 'bin is emptied even
if the system won't report which drives contains removed
	  files.
	* There seems to be an issue where the module will crash LS
when the module is unloaded (i.e. when recycling LS). It
may be fixed, but I can't confirm this.

popup driven. Again I have used the same popup structure, and
this theme is 100% workable at al resolutions above 800x600(if
there is enough demand, I will release a patch for 640x480)
the theme includes a sysemeter skin, as well as some slick

 Tips
 ----

- If you are running a module that only allows single parameters but
you wish to run multiple parameters, a simple work around is to
you either script.dll or alterscript.dll. Create a custom bang
command and use that instead of the actual string of commands.

This is a VB4 button previewing program for the original
	button bmps. From the readme:

"This previews the original button bitmaps, so when you're
editing the step.rc, you can just load this program up and
see what bitmap you want on your button! When I update this
again, you should be able to open custom buttons and preview
