  XSWEEKLY Shell Related News 27.01.01 - 02.02.01
 -------------------------------------------------

I have brought this next topic up a few months ago and I'm
going to bring it up again, not giving credit where credit is due.
In the past this was happening with people taking modules or hacks
and not giving out credit, now its happening with news posts on web
sites.

Recently the trend seems to be nipping news from another site
and not even bothering to link or mention the site it came from. This
is a horrible practice as you are now ripping someone else's work and
just taking the credit for your own. It is like a slap in the face
to the person who posted it first. They take the time and effort to
go out and find the news, post about it, just to have another site
come along, rip it, and give no credit.

Something needs to change here people. Everyone is always
going on about community, but it doesn't seem to apply to the web
sites. Why is this? Are we all not apart of the community? Because
we are more visible than say the average user this makes us exempt
from basic courtesy? When I post in here, I always have a link to
the source, even if I goto a mod coders site and see a post there for
one of their mods, I put that in. The least the news sites could do
is give credit to the other news site that it was ripped from.

Some people seem to think I'm out of line here. That I'm not
thinking too much of myself or the site that I am affiliated with.
This is far from the truth. We all put a ton of effort into our sites
and whether its more prudent to have news on one site or another doesn't
take away from the fact that someone did the leg work and should get
credit for it. Period.

- Crank's Site

This is a site that I see asked for at least 3 or 4 times a week.
Crank coded the now infamous transirc client. For those of you

[ Shell Of The Week ]
  -------------------

- Graphite

Coded by mian, this is a totally script driven shell. JS,
VBS, just about any script can be used. Because of this, it
makes for a very powerful themeing engine. For regular end
users, it can be configured via a GUI interface for ease of
	use.

css file it calls to, but the logo is just a poor rip of
	the LiteStep logo.
