  XSWEEKLY Shell Related News 09.12.00 - 15.12.00
 -------------------------------------------------

Ok, it seems that dTop (chunkymunky) has been taken over by another
company. Now, this shouldn't be a bad thing except they striped all the
links that where there AND killed all the hosting with NO WARNING! Not only
was I hosted there, but so was Pixol and Killarny. What kind of way is this
to conduct business in this community?? Now that site that I had hosted
on dTop is totally gone. They have blow the directories out completely.

This type of action is total bull. What gives them the right to take
MY work and just delete it without first informing me that this would be taking
place?? They don't even own the box that its on, Eye Media does. All they
have is the name and the space to use now. I have written to them and asked
them what is going on and if I could have my site back. I have yet to receive
a reply.

Before, we rallied around to help out Yaso try and save chunkymunky
from that waco woman who owned chunkymonkey. Now I ask you to boycott dTop
and show the moroffs who have taken over what its like to just stomp in and
take over. Screw these people and their lack of ethics.

On a sadder note, I have removed DarkStep from XSWeekly. As Fahim
has give the code over to azathoth and he will be changing the name, DarkStep
is no longer being coded. I really enjoyed reporting on DarkStep for the
time that it was around, and I really hope that azathoth can take it to new
heights.

- YaLaMet (Yet Another Lame Menu Tool)

Saw this little diddy over at litestep.net the other day. I downloaded it
and found it to be very useful on my work machine. From the site:

  "What is YaLaMet?

"Well - YaLaMet is a menutool, an easy and quick way to start application,
without it taking up a lot of space. I deem that it will be of most use for
people that do not like the desktop, that Microsoft gives us.

"YaLaMet takes up very little space on your desktop, and it is basically
just a dropdown-box, with items in it. And these items points to
applications, pretty much like shortcuts - just without all that MS-crap"
