  XSWEEKLY Shell Related News 26.08.00 - 01.09.00
 -------------------------------------------------

I was going to take this space this week to lay into Message for blowing
up at me on the LS Mailing list. I really have alot of ammo to unload on him
to but.... I have decided against it because dragging this out in a public
forum will accomplish nothing except more of the same.

At this point, there is actually alot of visible progress going on not
only in the core, but in documentation and other various aspects of LiteStep.
This is one of the few times that I have been impressed by what is going on.
I have personally spoken to some of the dev team and have seen first hand alot
of the documentation being created and some of the programs being written to
further the ease of use of LiteStep.

What I would like to do now is to ask everyone who has any type of
problem with LS, the team, the webmaster, to write up lists of things that you
think are wrong or need improvement or anything else, and mail them to me.
This will be much more production then us sitting around laying into each other
because we have opposing views. I myself have taken up some of that cause and
come up with my own lists of things that I am passing along to others.

I know that I am infamous for starting trouble but this week I would
rather promote progress than a fight. I will not apologies for what I have
said in the past or about how I feel about certain people but I will not drag
it out here or on the list. Take a note from me, if you have a problem with
someone, take it to them personally and not in a public forum, please.

 [ Modules ]

- jKey ~ jugg (9:39 29.09 pls)

"jKey.dll"is off the same idea as the LiteStep Hotkey.dll
module. However, I've pretty much rewritten it from scratch
(tho if you do compare code, you can see I was looking at the
hotkey source when I wrote it). Its completely cleaned up.
All memory is dynamically allocated, and a bunch of new
	options to tweak its use."

Tasks.dll is the ever popular task manager for LiteStep and

placement of tasks anywhere on your desktop, skinnability,
and a myriad of other options.

	New in this version:

	- Added TasksSetTimer
	- Fixed memory corruption when no task tiles were displayed.
    	- Fixed resource leak when a Tile had both a custom bitmap
    	  and icon defined for it.

was already loaded for the same Tile.

DarkStep.net is back. maaneeack has finally gotten control

This is THE place for LS related links. Jorje had originally
started this site on chunkymunky along with modulo and ran
out of time to keep it up. After he had given it over to me
I too ran out of time and handed it over to c0mrade. It looks
like he has come through and once again LSPortal is back,
	hopefully this time to stay.

"I wrote this little utility to avoid firing up Regedit
every time I wanted to change a setting in geOShell. I wanted
it to be a mini Regedit with the Root Branch as
HKCU\geO\geOShell but that was gonna take some time & this

- Win32AimAd 0.1

Noticed this link on Whiteshadows page. Its a program that
strips the adds off of AIM. It looks to be a C port of the
VB6 program AimAd. Although it isn't complete and still has
a few bugs (like resizing aim gets a bit strange) it's a nice
	program none the less.
