  XSWEEKLY Shell Related News 24.06.00 - 30.06.00
 -------------------------------------------------

Another week rolls by and the community seems to have quieted
down quite a bit. This is more than likely due to alot of people going
home for the summer. This is always a nice lull in the normal chaotic
world of the shell community. On any given week it seems that one
community or another is up in arms about something and things get a
bit weird for a good period of time. What amazes me though is that
the smaller alt os communities don't seem to go through this. Although
I could be wrong, it seems that everything is either kept underwraps
and away from the general user or there is no blowout like the win32
shell community seems to have. Maybe we can take a page from their
book the next time something starts to get out of hand and just either
keep it between the parties that are having the problem or just quit
fighting altogether.

- Changing the Internet Explorer Title Bar

As you can tell I love simple reg hacks. This one will allow you
to change the IE title bar from saying Microsoft Internet Explorer
to what ever you want. Now, I know alot of the reghack sites say
to goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE but for me that does not work. So on
  with this hack.

Step 1 - Open Regedit (Start, Run, Redegit)
Step 2 - By clicking the +'s get to this entry:
  	   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
Step 3 - Within this key find the entry "Window Title". If it does
not exist, click on Edit -> New -> String Value, and create
a new string called Window Title.
Step 4 - Change the value of "Window Title" to what ever you would
like your IE title bar to say. To do this click on
           Edit -> Modify.
Step 5 - Close the registry editor and your good to go. No reboot
	   needed.

- Open Trap

Saw this little diddy on Shell City and thought it would be
great for all the time you get the "Cannot find X dll" error.
This looks like a must have for people who run shells.

	From Shell City:
"When you try to launch an application and get a message such
as "Can't find foo.bar or one of its components," you cant
tell what file is missing. OpenTrap solves this problem. It
logs which files were successfully accessed and which were
not. It also can eavesdrop on file close functions to help you
track the time spent working on particular files."
